Mozilla Firefox 3.0 final edition to be released June 17

The final edition of Firefox 3.0 would be made available for download on Tuesday, June 17.

Mozilla will be converting its headquarters in Mountain View, California, into “Camp Firefox”. Mozilla also acknowledged the issuance of Release Candidate 3 (RC3) of Firefox to address a bug experienced by Mac users upgrading their operating systems.

Mozilla releases Firefox 3.0 Release Candidate 2 (RC2)

Mozilla recently announced the 2nd release candidate (RC2) of web browser Firefox 3.0.

The release fixed about 40 bugs identified after Mozilla issued the first release candidate three weeks ago. Mozilla executives assured users that the additional RC would not delay the expected launch date of Firefox 3.0, which has been set for mid-month (June).

Firefox 3 RC1 is now available for download here in more than 45 languages as a public preview release intended for developer testing and community feedback.

It includes new features as well as dramatic improvements to performance, memory usage and speed.
