New iPad 3 Philippine Release on May 29!

It’s now confirmed that the new iPad (or the iPad 3) will be officially released in the Philippines on May 29, 2012.

Though the page is not yet posted on the Philippine Apple Online Store, they cited that it will be ready by May via local resellers, Globe Telecom and the Online Store by then.

Subscribers complain about annoying Globe iToolbar

We received several emails today about the newly implemented Globe iToolbar. The iToolbar appears when you’re using mobile internet or tethering your device to a phone on the Globe network.

Sony unveils affordable NEX-F3 camera

Sony’s new digital camera in the NEX-series is more affordable and feature-packed. At under $600 (~Php26k), the Sony NEX-F3 has 16-megapixel, APS-C shooter that can record 1080p videos.

Prior to this, Sony had the NEX-C3 as its entry-level camera in this category.

HTC One S coming to the Philippines soon!

When the HTC One X and the HTC One V was released in the Philippines several weeks ago, the mid-range HTC One S was conspicuously missing in the line-up. HTC Philippines did not gave any reason for this absence but reports of a flaky casing is the most likely culprit.

Once that issue has been addressed, I’m sure HTC will eventually release the handset in the Philippines.

2012 iPhone 5 Will Have a 4-inch Display : Three Suppliers Working on the Screen, Says Reuters!

You know I always take supposed insider leaks about unreleased Apple products with a grain of salt – but since this one came from a rather reputable source, I thought I’d share it with you.

“The new iPhone screens will measure 4 inches from corner to corner.”

That’s what Reuters‘ source recently disclosed to the news agency.

The ‘insider’ even added that production is in now progress with three suppliers working together – via a Japanese-government-brokered merger – to assemble the screens. The three companies cited are LG Display Co. Ltd, Sharp Corporation and Japan Display Inc.
