Google Maps voice search for BlackBerry Pearl
BlackBerry July 3rd. 2008, 7:18pmBlackBerry Pearl (8110, 8120 and 8130 models) users in the U.S. can now try out voice search on Google Maps.
Point your BlackBerry Pearl’s browser to www.google.com/gmm and download the latest version of the application. Follow these three easy steps:
1. Press “0″ to center the map view around your location.
2. Press the left-side key and hold it while you say the name or type of business you’re looking for (for example, “restaurant”).
3. When you’re done speaking, release the left-side key, and let Google do its thing.
This feature is experimental at the moment and is expected to improve over time as more people start using it.
