Microsoft may extend the life of Windows XP
Windows XP April 25th. 2008, 10:58pmMicrosoft CEO Steve Ballmer said the company could re-evaluate its plans to phase out Windows XP by June 30, if customers show they want to keep it, but so far they have not.
Ballmer was speaking at the Louvain-La-Neuve University in Belgium. Mainstream technical support will continue to be available for Windows XP through April 2009, and more limited support will continue through April 2014.
