One Laptop per Child (OLPC) goes 2.0
OLPC May 22nd. 2008, 3:25pmThe One Laptop per Child (OLPC) foundation is already working on a second version of its XO Laptop computer, which will be called XO-2.

XO-2 is a highly slimmed-down version of OLPC’s current XO model. It features a touch-screen keyboard that can double as a second display when the device is turned on its side like a book, allowing use by more than one student at a time. Reports also say that its operating system is Windows Home after OLPC and Microsoft announced an agreement to make the Windows operating system available on low-cost XO laptops in emerging markets starting this June. The XO 2.0 will be ready for production in 2010.
