Purchased a FREE single of the week on iTunes and got 34 paid singles instead
iTunes September 10th. 2008, 12:59pmOk maybe this is a bug because of what’s going on now with the iTunes update plus the software update for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Ok so I went on downloading the FREE single of the week, which is currently the song “The Show” by an artist called Lenka but my iTunes is currently downloading as I’m typing this 34 paid singles which are 99 cents apiece. I even tried cancelling and purchasing again but it’s still downloading the 34 singles and the song that I’m supposed to be downloading is no where to be found. Here are the 34 songs:
A part by La Laque
Back Into the Wall by Belaire
Beautiful by Bill Medley
Best Friend by The Dandy Warhols
Better by Krash Buzz Nine
Better Days by Peter and the Wolf
Bomb by Izzy Stradlin
Everybody Else by Care Bears on Fire
Everything by Suzy Bogguss
Harder Than You Think (Remix)
Higher-ArkAngel (X-Mix)
Highway to the Sun by The Milwaukees
The Human Hosepipe by Harry and the Potters
In Our Talons by Bowerbirds
In the Fur by In the Fur
Juice by Steve Vai
Latter Days by Over the Rhine
Let Me Borrow That Top by Kelly
Living End by Spectre
Man With a Plan Tacks, the Boy Disaster
Mary Jo by Brazos
Mess Your Hair Up by White Denim
O Shot by The Gay Blades
Oh Boy by Maureen McCormick
The Phoenix of the Molotov by The Cryptkeeper Five
The Shakes by Boy/Girl
Shinjuku Nights by Ray Manzarek & Bal
Smoking is Sexy by The Forward
Somewhere Else by Marillion
Splintering by Arizona
Take It Back by Pink Nasty
Tik Tok by Die Romantik
To Fix the Gash In Your Head by A Place to Bury Strangers
Walk in the Park by Oh No Oh My
And there is no way that I accidentally bought these songs because I only have $4.12 in my account and it’s still there.

Hey,
I found your post because you mention my band, the Milwaukees. Anyway, to shed some light, that list of songs is part of a free promotional compilation being offered by TuneCore and Guitar Center via iTunes. Doesn’t seem like you got what you wanted, but hopefully you liked some of it anyway…
